During the Elder Ordination Service on Sabbath 19th October 2024, our recently appointed intern Steven George was joined by regular members as well as his parents, uncle and cousins.
Our Pastor David Rancic reminded Steven of his calling to serve the Lord and the extra responsibilities he would have as he progresses to eventually become an ordained minister. All serving Elders and ordained ministers in the congregation were invited to approach and lay hands on Steven's shoulders as Pastor Curtis Murphy led us all in a prayer of dedication.
The gift of an umbrella was particularly well received as Pastor Steven remarked his colleagues in the South England Conference had warned him about the regular deluges to be expected during his assignent in the North England Conference!
