During the warm, even scorching, days of summer, groups of us went for walks through Wyndham Park. The walks weren't to enjoy the leisure facilities and nature but were walks with a purpose. Our purpose? To share love and hope with the people in the park, promoting our theme of 'Because you're loved'.
We carried with us, bottles of water, colouring books for the children and the 'Christian Race' book for adults as the date coincided with the 2024 Olympics. People were surprised we were giving them something free and it was a delight to see their smiles as they realised they were receiving a gift. The children loved the colouring books, one boy seeking us out to ask if he could have one too. Many faces lit up when we shared the 'Because you're loved' motto and promised they would 'pass it on' by doing something nice for someone else.
